Hexagonal Sunglasses
Hexagonal sunglasses are distinguished by their six-sided lens contours. The individual segments break the continuity of a curve, introducing angles that can be either sharp or softened. The length and inclination of each side define a geometry that may be compact, or alternatively, broader and more elongated. The thickness of the rims alters the perception of the shape: a slender profile highlights the design of the lenses, while a bolder structure emphasizes the perimeter, giving the front of the frame a more commanding presence. The bridge, side connectors, and finishes all contribute to the balance between horizontal and oblique lines.
Apodep’s hexagonal selection includes the Eris-Two, Juno-One, and Juno-Two models by Akoni. These three styles offer distinct interpretations of the six-sided geometry, utilizing proportions and construction details that lend each frame a unique identity.
