Woody Perfumes

The woody aromas develop around notes that evoke wood, bark, roots and undergrowth. These accords often give structure, depth and persistence to the composition, with a character that can be dry and crisp, soft and creamy or earthy and smoky. Sandalwood introduces creamy and lactonic facets, with a discreet sweetness. Cedar can express a clear dryness, reminiscent of the wood of pencils, or warmer and balsamic tones depending on the variety. Patchouli brings earthy depth, sometimes with nuances of cocoa and undergrowth; vetiver adds a radical, herbaceous and dry character, with possible smoky accents. Guaiac wood can contribute soft, balsamic and smoky tones, while oud offers resinous, leathery and sometimes animalic or medicinal interpretations. Spices, citrus fruits, flowers and mosses can articulate this structure, accentuating its warmth, brightness or softness. The choice and balance of the notes define the woody profile and its development on the skin.
