Square Sunglasses

Square sunglasses are defined by a four-sided lens outline, with a relatively balanced relationship between width and height. The sides need not be equal: the square character comes from the combination of a defined upper line, lateral edges and corners that can be sharply drawn or gently rounded. Rim thickness and bevelling influence how this geometry is expressed. A substantial acetate rim can emphasise the perimeter and introduce sculpted depth, while a fine metal rim can leave the lens outline more exposed. The bridge and the points where the temples meet the front further shape the frame’s overall proportions.
